It was my first Natural Healing and Psychic Expo. I knew I wanted to buy or do SOMETHING, I just wasn't sure what, and needed to check out everything before I decided what. My friend Katrina and I were making the rounds when we came upon Alison's table. The divining rods intrigued me and we asked the young man standing at the table about them. He told us that you ask it to show you your "yes, no and maybe." After you know which position means what answer, the divining rods move based on the energy and vibrations of what you really want. They could help you make decisions by communicating with what your true self wants or needs, and not let other feelings, perceptions, opinions or ideas get in your way. They could also help find lost things or people. âShow me my Mom," he said as the rod swung to the corner pointing at a women doing a reading. "That's my mom in the corner," he said. "One time my Mom found my lost cell phone with them too! âI found this hard to believe but I skeptically asked, "Can they find lost jewelry too? âSure," he said, "Here want to try?" I took the rods and asked it to show me my friend Katrina. WHOOSH. It swung towards her and pointed directly at her. âWHAT?! HOLY COW!" I freaked out a little bit. We finished our rounds of the expo, and I knew that the divining rods were what I really wanted to buy. But I had not admitted to anybody why I wanted to buy them. In August (currently November) I lost 2 of my most valuable college rings. I had searched up and down, in pockets, purses, and pouches, on shelves and desks, and even in my jewelry case. The last time I remember seeing them, was taking them off and putting them in a pocket of my red work bag. A week later when I went to retrieve them, they were gone. I looked everywhere and was sick about losing them, I hadn't told anyone for fear of admitting they were really lost. Even as I bought the divining rods, I did not admit to Katrina a to what I really wanted to find with them. We drove home and we both parted ways to our own apartments. I sat on my couch by myself and thought, "It is now or never." I stood up with 1 divining rod in hand in the middle of my living room and asked it to "Show me my Luther College ring." (I knew I lost them both together, so I just asked for one of them). It swung diagonally towards the corner of my apartment. I looked around that direction and then moved towards my kitchen and asked again. It swung in the same direction towards my bedroom. By this time my mind was racing. I hadn't found these rings in 3 months! How could I possibly find them today?! This is crazy. BUT, if it worked, this would be awesome. I walked to my bedroom door, stood in the frame, and asked again. It swung left for a moment but then swung diagonally directly towards my hanging pocket jewelry case on the wall. In that moment my heart dropped with disappointment. I knew how these worked â my jewelry case â that's where my mind THINKS they are because that's where I'd keep them if I had them. And besides, I had gone through that case already. I get jewelry out of it every day. They weren't in there. So instead I tore my desk apart in my bedroom looking for these rings. Nothing. I went back to the door frame and asked again. WHOOSH. Directly towards my jewelry case. "No, they can't be there!" I asked again. WHOOSH. Directly towards my jewelry case. "FINE!" I thought. I go through it pocket by pocket. Then I will know if they are not there, it must be pointing to my closet behind that wall. I took the hanging pocket jewelry case off the wall and set it on my bed. I started with the bottom pockets and had worked my way up to the top row where I kept most of my silver jewelry. I moved the pieces in one pocket when I saw to glints of gold. "Shut the front door," I thought to myself. And there they were. Both of my rings. I have no memory of moving them from my work bag to my jewelry pouch, but I had found them, and I COULD. NOT. BELIEVE. Â IT., I called Katrina and told her what had happened. "You gotta go back and tell the lady at the expo what happened! "You're right." So off I went back to the expo. I lingered suspiciously until Alison was not with a customer and approached the table to tell her what happened. "You've got to right a testimonial! That is so great!" So, a couple years later, I finally wrote this down. Since that time, I have found stamps, my phone, IDs, and a variety of other lost items with my divining rods. I carry them in my purse, and pull them out at bars, grocery stores, or anytime I have a question or lost item. They have been a great conversation piece and relationship builder, one of my favorite possessions, and the best $50 I've spent!
